Not only does "well regulated" not refer to the right of the people, but the contemporary definition of "well regulated" had nothing to do with federal restrictions or laws. The Bill of Rights is little more than a list of restrictions on the federal government's power over the individual. Do you seriously think that the founders randomly stuck in a paragraph calling for strict government regulation in the middle of a list of limitations on that same government? How on earth does that make any logical sense to you?

We all know the Democrats aren't going to allow Trump to "win" on any issue.
Anything that comes out of the Senate will not pass the House and vice versa.
This is Washington after all, nothing gets done. Sometimes it works in your favor.
This is all posturing for Trump but it's something he has to do.

I have had heated discussions with my own DAD about guns and abortion. He votes dem and loves abortion and using his own words “you don’t need an AR”.

He's never been strong 2A. I knew it going into his leadership. I wish someone would point out to him that we have more knife deaths than mass shooting deaths and realize he's being programmed by the media all the same as everyone else.
Fine, give victims of mass shootings govt paid funerals and memorialize them... do NOT fking restrict 2A with doctors and psychologists and bogus bullshite reasons we should restrict ANYTHING.

What if he is getting the Dems to play right into his hands? By supporting does the looney left crazies in the house now say they'll are against it cause Trump's for it?
This seems like a political move to me, He's setting it up to say "Hey I'm willing to do something to help curb this but the Democrats in the house would rather oppose everything I support just for spite".

Not questioning your resolve but one day you are pro-American and and the next questioning the one man in our nation who stepped up on the heels of some of her darkest times (2009 through 2016) and has delivered. He has another election coming which brings on some realities so this is no time for supporters to start looking for the exits which 99.9% are not going too. The alternatives are the Socialist Democrat party of America in power or DJT. I trust Trump's instincts vs those of the Socialists.
