I remember teams in Dizzy Dean in Kenner, Dixie Youth in JPRD that would smoke any of the LLWS teams that I saw at the LLWS, except maybe the one with the 18 year old from NY.

Go see the Eastbank game changer page. They were beating AAA USSSA teams taking leads. Just because all stars has this in place doesn’t mean that’s all they play.

This team is legit one of the best La All Star teams of all time.

This shite is so dumb. Being allowed to take a lead doesn't make your league better. Plenty of these kids play on top USSSA teams, just like the other leagues.
What the frick are you talking about? I didn't mention anything about taking leads. I was talking about comparing teams I had seen in the past in Jefferson Parish and i should've added Chalmette that would beat the LLWS teams in that same era.

when this team is called Eastbank. Is this an all star team come from Metry, Bright, Cleary, Lakeshore, Girord, Etc or is it now an all star team of all of those all star teams. Much like the JPRD Babe Ruth.

I know mike Miley Dixie youth played in the state tournament & had a few studs on that team. I’m not clear if this east bank team has players from other disqualified playgrounds

Or did this have no affiliation with these playgrounds and do their own thing?
No affiliations to playgrounds.. but the new rules allow a kid attending a school inside the boundaries to use the school's address for eligibility so say if st clement of rome is in the district and a kid living 35 miles away goes to st clement of rome.. he is eligible.

Mike Miley was really strong in 12U Dixie. Had a kid 6' about 180 pounds. Huge. They scrimmaged our Gonzales team and spanked them.

Our 12U team ended up canceling going to state. Gretna replaced them

Gretna ended up making State Finals and playing Miley. They spanked Miley twice. Crazy Gretna didnt even make State without our team canceling.

The Louque kid is from Paulina. They got kids from all over. Like mentioned, the boundaries are the schools. Like Holy Cross is the end of one boundary going east

The Eastbank had a league of 4 teams, and this team is the best of the 4. There are younger age groups for EB that is basically a feeder system

West Bank has a league going now, NORD is starting one. The talent pool for EB will shrink

I meant from when I was growing up. Ive noticed many prior dixie leagues changing to little league. With the exception of a couple they all really suck now though with how widespread travel ball is.
