It can happen very easily. a lot of people in their 20's don't care about their bodies. they still live college lifestyle (crappy diet). only now they have a lot less free time to do exercise due to work. then they get married and have kids. even less free time. it's a sad state of affairs.

I once knew an old dude that claimed he never worked out or played any sports while in hs, but he was a workaholic, a pipe fitter by trade and in his spare time he worked in his garden. He was 78 yrs old when he died and he was in good physical shape, cancer took him down.

I’m limited on weight & resistance workouts that I can do now. But I do go to the gym to walk 3 miles on the treadmill every morning before work.

Why do some people that work out think it’s the most important thing in the world? You can’t just go exercise without making a point that other people don’t do what you do?

I’ll tell you one thing, it’s a lot harder to fit the gym routine into the day with kids. Not impossible, but it’s definitely a factor.

It's usually the same ones that bitch about the post New Year's crowds at their gym.

Why do you worry about how other men live their lives?

Because they are driving up the cost of health care, which I pay for with higher premiums and my taxes. Remove that from the equation and I don't care.

Men that work don't need to workout. Our muscles aren't just for show.

You can do all the functional shite and still exercise. Most people I know that exercise are also pretty active in other aspects. I climb, hike, camp, kayak, fish, hunt, etc and still workout 4-5 days a week.

After I left the Army I haven't spent 1 second exercising. And I'm still good. And almost 50

Your little $40k salary isn’t enough to pay for anyone’s health care

Sounds like excuses. It takes 30 minutes a day.
