Why can't we go ahead and build a new library?

I get all the hubbub about the locker rooms, and it's all mostly bullshite. But at least a light is now being shone on the pathetic situation involving our library. Why not strike while the iron is hot?
Surely there are enough people who love LSU that paying for a new state-of-the-art library would be an easy lift. I mean shite, people. This can be done.

Because LSU is terribly managed and has no money and no prospects.

Because LSU football is lyfe

Not having any money might have something to do with it

Because we need to fund 50 liberal arts programs that have zero ROI

Maybe the Tiger Library Foundation can ask for donations.

Lsu has built plenty of new buildings on campus since I was there. For whatever reason the library has been neglected. F King is a shitty fundraiser.

Here’s a little secret is that no one gives a frick about academics at LSU. Academics is merely a means to an end in order to have the cash cow that is athletics.

LSU has lost to Alabama so many times that kids are choosing to go to better schools like the university of Louisiana

Because LSU Academics doesn't know how to manage money. Big shocker there. They're jealous that a 501c gets it done while government run financial management is a shite show.
Breaking news: The sky is blue.

Not sure of the exact plans for a library or libraries, but I know Middleton is not included at all in LSU's master plan.

I bet you could find the money and still be able to drop tuition rates

Take it up with King or academic fund raising.

It's weird that other schools are able to build their academic standing and notoriety on the success and notoriety of their football programs, while LSU looks at it as nothing but an issue of conflict and some sort of goofy zero sum game.

There is already a fricking plan to build a new one and tear down down Middleton

That library was falling apart when I was there 20 years ago. Surprised it’s still standing.
