An 18-year-old Baton Rouge man has been charged with second degree murder after he intentionally caused a crash at the intersection of Siegen Lane and Perkins Road in Baton Rouge, according to Louisiana State Police.
The crash occurred just before 10 p.m. Monday.
Jack Jordan, of Baton Rouge, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with second degree murder. Stephanie Payne, 51, of Greenwell Springs was killed as a result of her injuries sustained from the crash. Her vehicle was engulfed in flames.
LSP says Jordan intentionally rammed into the back of Payne's vehicle. If he isn’t gay, he’s about to be

This story would be better if he was 19 years old

Let me guess, his parents punished him from his X Box..?

He has the eyes of someone I would look at in court and automatically think he did it.

This is a strange story. Has to be more to it.

Somewhere his (probably absentee) father should be beaten too.

How fast was he going? I’d like to know why her car caught on fire.

What kind of rage must it take for a freaking 18 year old to do something so horrible?

Saw this on Siegen at about 10:45PM last night. Police lit flares and cut off that entire part of Siegen and Perkins. There were like 20 policemen there.

He looks like he has the crazy eyes. I hope this wasn’t random but there has to be more to the story. RIP to the victim.

Just execute him and be done with it

That dude won't last long in prison

I found him on Facebook. He’s a Dunham grad & seems to be from an affluent, loving family. This is so messed up. I can’t begin to imagine how you come to terms with your child doing something so horrific.

Stephanie had endured the loss of her oldest daughter in 2016 (who was a senior in college). I feel horrible for this family, they are wonderful people.

Police say Payne was stopped at the intersection when Jordan, driving a truck northbound on Siegen Lane, struck the rear of her vehicle at a high rate of speed.
The collision caused Payne’s vehicle to burst into flames. Payne suffered fatal injuries as a result.
Jordan allegedly told police he intentionally caused the crash. Police say impairment is not suspected to be a factor.
Jordan was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and was then taken to jail, where police say he attempted to escape.
Jordan was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of second-degree murder, reckless operation, and simple escape.

What could have triggered an 18 year old to do something so horrific to a 51 year old woman? There's more to this somewhere.

Appears this "kid" just graduated from high School in May (Dunham) and now has ruined his life while killing the mother/wife of another family, while also devastating his own family (from FB he has two siblings)
what can possibly be that bad that he would intentionally ram another car....

My neighbor is friends with the father. I will know more when I see him later.
