Common sense links Bagwell to roids. But he avoided the spotlight/ witch hunt.

Bonds was a HOF player before he started juicing.

Bonds wasn’t drafted from ASU until 1985. How the hell do you think he was the greatest player of the 1970s you moron?

Harold Barnes is in the HOF, but not Barry Bonds. Let that sink in.

Let former players vote on HOF, not sad-sack writers with an axe to grind.

I know Barry wasn’t a likable guy from what I understand, but he should be a lock to the Hall Of Fame. So should Pete Rose, Roger Clemens, McGwire, and guys like that. Most everyone in that era used steroids, hence the “Steroid Era”. MLB HOF voters are a joke.

It is, dude was the Willie Mays of his generation but baseball HOF voters are sanctimonious douches who pick and choose what standards to apply when it comes to players they don't like. Barry didn't have a great relationship with the media and the controversy surrounding BALCO just exacerbated everything. I think the reasons for keeping him out are all bullshite, baseball's "ban" on steroids during Bonds' era was symbolic, had no legal bite to it (wasn't collectively bargained for), and thus tons of great players did it. Extended Barry's career along with a bunch of other dinosaurs but we all know what Barry represented in terms of athleticism. Barry still smoked all the fools who did steroids bc that's what greatness entails. Dude had IT and IT made for a legend, my first true baseball hero for my generation.

Barry Bonds was still one of the best without steroids. I guess you could say he was like Willie Mays on steroids.

We know he took PED’s. But it’s not impossible to gain quite a bit of good weight from your early 20’s to late 30’s.

I have never taken PED’s and was a collegiate decathlete. When I competed I was 6’3” 185#, I’m now 39 and weigh 225-230 depending on how much I’ve had to drink that week and I’m still in the same pant size. It’s not impossible to gain weight as you get older.

But he did juice.

Why you say that? Bonds cheated, if he gets in best player of all times Pet Rose (Charlie Hustle) better get in. Rose was best player in my lifetime . AaHOF skills at bat, fielding and hustle . Bonds was not a team guy ,Rose was all about team. Big Red machine .
