Overcast? I could see where it feels like the sun never rose when it's so low on the horizon and it's very cloudy.

Nope. It's incredible every single day.

Do it. If you can find work in Seward or the Kenai, that’s where I would go.

You have to go pretty far north to get to where the sun doesn't rise, and then at the arctic circle it's for a very short period of time.
The North Slope is a different story.

Seems like it would be a great place for below average women.
The hottest girl I've ever seen on any Alaskan show was Ariel Tweeto and she is maybe an OT4.

Roger, is the job market good at all up there? I wouldn’t mind throwing some feelers out. I’m not really tied down to where I am currently.

Depends what field you're in. It's pretty solid where I am.

I’m in construction (estimating, project management), have a degree, although it’s not related to my field
I’m not limiting myself to any of that. If the right opportunity came along I’d obviously do whatever.

Professional jobs are in pretty high demand. Particularly anything related to health care.

Saw a lot of state jobs too. That was just a quick google search though. Will do some research on it. Thanks for the info.

Nah, its a myth. Shortest day in Juneau is about 5.5 hours of sunlight.
I know it's not pitch black, but those 5.5hrs aren't bright sunlight.
This is the what the winter solstice in Fairbanks looks like.

This is Juneau. If you live on the East side of the Channel, you get direct sunlight. I live on the West, no direct sunlight for a couple of months. Doesn't get above the mountains on Douglas Island
The light in summer is more difficult to adjust to IMO. It never gets dark even when the sun sets.

Look at Workplace Alaska (State Jobs) and ALEXYS for other jobs.

Ariel Tweeto was a smokeshow on that show
Smokeshow might be a bit much, but she was hot
