The whole "companies making a political stance" is fricking stupid and doesn't really affect my purchase decisions. If you provide me with a good product that's all I care about. Same with music and actors. People have different opinions. I don't care if yours is different.

You literally seem "triggered" by the fact that I won't be buying Nike products. Why would you have the smallest concern about what another man buys? Now that is what I call triggered.

You have to remember that Salmon is a conflicted soul. He was raised right, but found some self induced pseudo hipster enlightenment along the way. It killed his common sense and moral compass. Now he just vehemently defends positions that he knows deep down are wrong, and argues for the sake of trying to convince himself that is conscience isn’t right.

Either that or he’s just fricking stupid.

Agreed. He and some of his posse are more worked up about my choice than I am. It won’t make a difference to Nike if I don’t buy their crap and I’m ok with that but it sure seems to bother some of the edgy OT brethren with gauged ear lobes.

Most of the folks who announce that they are boycotting have no consistency with what they are boycotting. Like I said in an earlier post in this thread, they only boycott what is convenient to boycott and what will get them the most social points from the rest of their tribe. They turn a blind eye to a lot of things and get some false sense of moral superiority because they buy Schick instead of Gillette. They will post on Facebook about boycotting Dick's for being anti gun but completely ignore the fact that Facebook is a pretty anti-gun company as well.

I’ve boycotted a lot of shite. But not one because of any political reasons.

Can everyone start putting the reason they are boycotting what they are boycotting? I am not up to date on what every company's political stance and what not.

There is some truth to what he said.

Like all the people who said they were "boycotting the NFL".

Ive heard a few people that went similar to this "You will never catch me watching the NFL again. I am boycotting them for good. I didn't really watch it in the first place".

Either way, I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and companies can do whatever they want. Nike cares about one thing, selling shoes and anything else with a Nike check on it. They made a lot of money when they first launched the whole Kaepernick thing. They are doubling down on this.

Nike has never really been my go to brand, but if I liked their products and they are the best for me, I am not going to boycott them all because how they market their product.

That is my conviction.
