I know lakers could offer less than the max to Kawhi by 500k originally. If this isn’t the min then they will be 3.1 mil less

Yea, I believe by 900,000+ for a 10 year player.

Dudley will only count as a minimum salary against the cap:
Years of Experience - Salary
0 - $898,310
1 - $1,445,697
2 - $1,620,564
3 - $1,678,854
4 - $1,737,145
5 - $1,882,867
6 - $2,028,594
7 - $2,174,318
8 - $2,320,044
9 - $2,331,593
10+ - $2,564,753

Because the NBA doesn’t want teams to avoid signing veteran players in favor of cheaper, younger players, the league reimburses clubs who sign veterans with three or more years of experience to one-year, minimum salary contracts. Those deals will only count against the cap – and against a team’s bank balance – for $1,620,564, the minimum salary for a player with two years of experience.
For instance, if Tyson Chandler – who has 18 years of NBA experience – signs a one-year, minimum salary contract with a new team, that team would only be charged $1,620,564 for Chandler’s contract. He’d earn $2,564,753, but the NBA would make up the difference. This only applies to one-year contracts, rather than multiyear deals.

I’m going to start getting worried if a few more min guys sign tonight/tomorrow

Lakers are certainly the favorites to get the endorsement contract for Centrum Silver.

I think Redick made a comment about leading and mentoring the young guys as well.

Kawhi Leonard has completed both his meetings with the #Lakers and #Clippers, a league source tells ESPN. He is also meeting with the #Raptors today. The rest of the basketball world awaits Leonard’s decision...
So, if his mind has already been made up, and the meeting are for courtesy, then we'll likely know tonight. If he hasn't made up his mind (which I now think is more likely), then I'd expect him to sleep on it and review his options tomorrow.
Let me put it this way: if he's going back to Toronto, I don't think he'd announce it on the 4th of July. If he doesn't announce where he's going by tomorrow evening, then I think Toronto is out. An announcement that he's going to one of the Los Angeles teams, though, would be a fun thing for him to do on the 4th.

I don’t think that means to much tbh. They still have 2 superstars and they need guys to fill the roster. W/o Kawhi, they would still be one of the favorites to win the west.

I disagree. I don’t think Lebron and a bunch of minimum guys are necessarily better than some of the teams that have been around Anthony Davis on the Pels. They will be a favorite because of the LA hype though regardless.

This.
The team is basically a two man show. One of them gets hurt, has a bad night, gets up on the wrong side of the bed and they are fricked that night.
Kind of like nights where AD would get hurt and leave for the night.

This. They also will be asked to play a lot of minutes every night. With Lebron having trouble staying healthy last year and well AD, with that work like I can see 25 games where at least one of them is out.

Raptors fans seem extremely confident on RealGM tonight. Stuff about secret DMs and lots of guys celebrating. Interesting. It seems all three fanbases are confident right now.
