That just seems like a piss poor signing.
WCS is cheap but he’s an a-hole and he doesn’t want to perform the role he is asked to perform.
It’s like bringing in a cheaper Boogie with less offensive ability.

If he re-signs with the Raptors, can we call in requests of the Blame Canada song from the South Park movie to every radio station in LA?

Influencers aka "stars" get behind political models. For the exchange of influencing the masses. Certain perks like paying no taxes, is part of the deal. Drake is one of those and Kawhi will be we inducted into the club...
Etc..etc...plus the rest of the perks...

He wound up having a nice little career. Good for him

Ideally, Kawhi needs to re-sign with the Raptors with a long-term contract. (Plan B: long-term with the Clips.)
Or else, this shite will happen all over again next year, and our future Lakers picks will still be in jeopardy.

Can't wait for all the smoke next year about draymond to the Lakers if they don't land Kawhi

I see that going over well with AD.
“Yeah, we’re signing Dray to a max, so you will be playing center for the next five years.”

Maybe. Maybe the Lakers tie up their future cap money in a trade to get Kevin Love to try to win a title this year.

I'm not gonna worry too much about our future picks because they'll still be assets no matter really where they land.
I trust Griff&Co to build a contending roster and they're off to a great start.

I think at worst those future picks can be used as a package to get an all star player in the future
Posted on 7/2/19 at 5:24 pm to Macintosh
Definitely an option
Someone disgruntled
They tons of future flexibility

Yup, like a Beal type. Heck maybe KAT in a few years when he’s sick of never making the playoff. Maybe Booker

Or maybe one of those picks develops into a star himself. The Spurs and Raptors are proof you don't need high draft picks to build a contender if you have a good scouting department and a strong culture.
