It also sums up the state of the Lakers pretty well.
Right now that team has more leaks than a nursing home full of incontinents. Every single thing that happens in that organization ends up being leaked and spun for someone’s benefit.
Most organizations in the league are a lot more tight lipped and I would think this shite would rub Kawhi the wrong way since he is apparently extremely private and only talks with a close circle of people like Uncle Dennis.

I think Kawhi (and especially his Uncle) are the kind of guys who don't quickly forget things in the past.. Specifically the Lakers hanging him out to dry on the Spurs trade -- or at least I think that's how they saw it
He may very well be dragging this out to screw the Lakers

You know what else I was forgetting? The fact that Danny Green hasn't made a deal yet. Danny was waiting on Kawhi to make a decision. If Kawhi had really made the decision yesterday and told his family and those close to him where he was going, it's likely that "Danny Green to the Mavs" or something would already be a story. One more little thing that makes me think that Kawhi hasn't made a final decision yet

Looked at the available FAs lately?
About the only guys available besides Kawhi and Danny Green are the Klutch crew like the Morris twins.
If Kawhi doesn’t join the Lake Show, that roster is going to be such a shite show of guys like Rondo and KCP that it will be hilarious.

I wouldn't be shocked to see them try to trade for Love into their cap space. However, I'm not sure if the Cavs are looking to straight dump him and the Lakers have basically nothing to offer them. The same goes for Blake Griffin.

Yeah and I think there are a few other players that are waiting on that shoe to drop like the Morris twins.
I feel like you would hear those camps inching close to a deal if they were just waiting for the announcement of Kawhi to become public, but it was already decided in private. You would also likely see Toronto and LAC starting the process of making moves. As a team like Toronto almost certainly begins immediately unwinding this team if Kawhi leaves.

He's probably waiting to see if he goes back to TOR to run it back. Otherwise he'll head to DAL. MAYBE LAC for the room exception. But I don't see him taking the minimum.

I thought that Danny Green was staying in TOR if Kawhi returns but likely heading to the Mavs if Kawhi goes to either of the LA teams. Maybe I was wrong.

So assuming Kawhi to Clippers, what exactly do the Lakers do for guards? I got to think their only option to get talent is to use their cap space to take on a contract like Dragic...but they don't have anything to trade for him.

Technically doable because Love is making $28m and doesn’t have a trade kicker, but that would mean they have a team consisting of LeBron and a few bigs in AD, Love, and Kuzma, with that league minimum shooter from Phoenix as their only guard.

Yeah that's the issue they may run into trying to absorb guys into their cap space. Teams like Miami and Cleveland may think they can actually get a positive asset in return (even if it's a marginal young player or seconds) if they wait until the deadline instead of dumping those guys to the Lakers now for literally nothing.
