The secret is definitely out, big time. I guess the twitter hype worked.
I just passed by 2 different Popeyes and both were absolutely slammed. One of the two I know is never busy. Ever.

Mine was made wrong then.
I had it about 4 weeks ago in Metairie and it had no mayo, it was definitely their sweet heat sauce. It was really really good, but 100% didn't have mayo on it.
Just chicken, pickles, sauce.

Went grab some for lunch for myself and a few coworkers, I went inside to order since I had to place a few different orders, while waiting 4 of the 6 drive thru orders were chicken sandwiches. They had 3 employees just making sandwiches and sent another one to go mix up more spicy mayo.

I have had the following different varieties of the spicy chicken sandwich since Early July when this thread started:
Regular
No Pickles (not a big pickle fan in general)
With Red Beans
With Red Beans and a little of Mardi Gras Mustard today
The Spicy Sandwich with Red Beans and a little Mardi Gras Mustard is my favorite but I do love their Mardi Gras Mustard in general

I was told by a worker preparing it that what makes it a spicy sandwich is the spicy mayo, now could they be wrong sure but regardless.
Its aplain arse chicken breast with a sauce to make it spicy. I'd rather a spicy chicken breast.

I'm at the one in Oxnard right now. This is easily the busiest I've ever seen this place. Kid at the counter is doing a good job. Telling us right away it's a 15 minute wait. Dining room is full of people waiting for their sandwiches.
I feel bad for anyone on a timed lunch break who is going to Popeyes for the first time.
The phone is also ringing off the hook. Damn.

their advantages are a larger piece of chicken and possibly a cheaper price but I dont recall the price of a Chick Fil A sandwich
