Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Thursday blasted Amazon over reports that the retail giant will offer a credit card for "underbanked" customers with bad credit.
"This kind of greed makes the poor even poorer and @AOC and I intend to outlaw it," Sanders tweeted Thursday, referencing progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.). "Corporations will have to survive on a 15% cap on interest rates."

So let me get this straight
It’s a crisis that poor people and blacks don’t have access to credit
It’s a crisis that amazon steps in and offers credit
Bernie is that one ignorant retired joe six pack Union thug you know who has been involved in Union politics is whole life, posts dumb arse memes on Facebook all day about muh profit and muh ceo pay.

Dementia must be kicking in. Forgive him for he knows not what he says

Why does he oppose this exactly? Don’t he and his supporters scream constantly about how blacks and other minorities don’t have access to credit?
Well, Amazon is willing to offer credit. What’s the problem? Amazon is not mandating that its card users spend more than they can afford to pay back.
LOL at a 15% cap on rates.

What the poor will hear under Bernie:
"oh, you've got bad credit. Sorry, we can't help you. 15% interest isn't enough to mitigate our risk. Best of luck!"

They want these corporations to give those high-risk customers the same rates that people with good credit get, duh!
The creditors will just have to trust that these people won't screw them over, even though their history doesn't favor that. Those big evil corporations will be just fine if a few hundred thousand people don't pay them back, they have tons of money! It's not fair, people shouldn't have to EARN good credit!!

Wish he would have spoke up pre-2008 when fannie mae and freddie mac were handing out mortgages to poor people for houses they couldn't afford

Bernie and AOC teaming up.... good lord at the stupidity of this duo

It's entirely plausible for Amazon to be doing something less than noble or generous and for it to still be none of Bernie Sanders' damn business.
