15% of my weekly pay since September of 2015 has gone to the MAGA campaign.

I worked for a decent amount of time as a political fundraiser. I’d often leave an event with at least $75-100k in my pocket. Made me nervous as shite the first few times.

only a few state have no limit on what can be given to campaign,, ALL of them have restrictions on how much cash can be donated.
All states and Federal law require that the donors' name and profession be a part of the record, so anyone giving big money uses a check ( personal, not corporate)
the cash limit is between $50 and $100 allowing that maybe you were in a State that allowed $100,, that's 750 people ALL donating cash.
that attendance number is Senate or Governor level and a campaign of that stature would never let a staffer hold on to the donations

MAYBE a few thousand dollars,, and even if that any legit campaign would only allow the actual named fundraiser or campaign treasurer hold the cash, checks and donation sheets
