He was God awful in that game.

I think you are thinking about the UF game, Queen played pretty dang good in the bama game, and led the team in tackles in the UCF game while only playing half the game, if im not mistaken he may have led the team in tackles in the bama game

9 tackles
6 solo tackles
2 tackles for a loss is far from god awful when only playing one half against bama

Logan not a starter? I could see him becoming our best d-lineman this year. His length can’t be matched by fehoko.

Fehoko started in front of him all last season after he moved to DE from NT, he will start in front of him this year

Basically every positive play Bama had in the first half they ran right at him.

I wouldn’t even think about starter vs backup that much when it comes to DL. If the talent is there then they should be rotated very frequently.

It’s time for Aranda to produce another Top 5 Defense and justify his salary.

He's justified his salary by the HC being scared shitless of losing him when A&M came calling. That's why he was paid. So this narrative is ridiculous.

You have to keep Stevens on the field at all times..there is no reason to take him off...to put in who ?

Logan only became a starter because they moved Fehoko to nose...he was actually thinking about transferring

Keep in mind our base defense is a nickel..I think they moved Divinity inside to keep him on the field and because he can make all the calls like White did...he's probably gonna wear #18

I think stevens plays a lot of S/OLB hybrid.

I think Aranda really liked him there at the end of last year. Had some huge games there at the end of last year

Last 3 games:

27 tackles, 5.5 TFL, .5 Sacks and a Pick.

Moving Divinity to MLB sorta seems like a “let’s put the best 4 on the field” move

Plus I think Divinity will do well there especially if he is rushing the passer like White was.

Stevens is probably the 2nd best pass rusher on the team and can run with a tight end

I would Probably go
Chaisson
Divinity
Stevens

But we would be putting all fricking three out there so no reason to argue.

???Was one of his best games last year, had a 73 grade from PFF which is pretty good.

Thornton and Anthony had really rough games, neither could set the edge, that's where Florida murdered us in ground game.

The defense was ranked 5th in 2018: LINK

And 8th in 2017:

According to defensive efficiency metrics.

Outside the A&M game this defense was a top 10 defense and why we won games.

Statistics are useful but outliers are not.

He patched together a pretty good defense in the Fiesta without almost our entire secondary. M

He has also had to coach through the fall out of our DL recruiting mess that Chief and Brick left on their way out.
