Just curious about what the rant says. I apologize if a thread about this already exists.
Les 1 championship and 1 lost
Paul 1 Championship and 1 lost

Les Paul played a hell of a mean guitar.

Say what you want about les but everyone loved him. He just didn’t make the changes he needed to and it was time to make a move.

Maineri seems to be widely regarded as an a-hole. Being an a-hole is ok when you’re winning (Saban). When you lose, everyone wants a shot at you.

One coached football and recruited great players that for the most part masked his coaching deficiencies.
The other coaches baseball and recruits great players that for the most part mask his coaching deficiencies.

One is short and mostly bald, the other is tall and mostly bald. The tall one lives in Kansas.

A lot of similarities. Seems like it's gotten stale with Paul like it did with Les too

There are worst things to be than championship coaches past their prime.

Most will never reach that status in the first place.

quote:

Les 1 championship and 1 lost

-People liked him as a person
-Formula for winning got outdated
-Got stale

quote:

Paul 1 Championship and 1 lost

-People think he is a dick
-Formula for winning is there, but baseball has become a more level playing field (see Coastal Carolina)
-Got stale

Les
1/2 BCSNCG
2/2 BCS Games (Exluding BCSNCG)
2/3 SECCG
7/11 (All Bowls combined)
114-34 at LSU

Paul
1/2 CWS Championships
5 CWS (At LSU)
4 SEC Regular Season Titles
6 SEC Tournament Titles
11/13 Seasons making the Play Offs
568-238-3 at LSU

Les missed a BCS game his last five seasons and went 2-2 on non-NY6 bowls (fired before 2016)

Paul's last five have been CWS, SR, CWS Runner-Up, R, and SR.

Paul should not be on the same hotseat as Les was, and I am a Mile's support (more or less)
