Any experiences with GMC Acadia?

Wife (no pics) is looking at buying one for her next vehicle. Doing research online. We don't know anyone that has one, and I know nothing about GMC.
Is it a good vehicle? Easy to maintain? Holds up well? Lasts a long time?
She is also looking at Chevy Traverse and Buick Enclave, for comparison sake.

DO NOT DO IT
My wife bought one about six years ago and I regret that purchase daily.
There is a reason why GMC = Government Motors Company
We have owned Toyotas, Hondas, and Fords, and never had problems like we have had with this damn thing.

Saw one on the interstate once.
Could’ve had an experience.

Owned one for seven years, wife’s vehicle.
It had more problems than all the other vehicles I’ve owned combined.

I'd recommend not doing it.
My mom bought one in 2009. Sure, they still have it, but it's had so many issues. It seems like twice a year they have to bring it to the shop to get something else major fixed. It's also pretty awkward to drive in my opinion.
I'd go for a 4runner personally

Ours were primarily AC and electrical problems

My SIL had one and it was a great vehicle. They traded it in a couple of years ago but only because they moved from yankee land to southern FL, and black is not a great color for that region. It had over 50K miles when they traded it in and they never had an issues with it.

I had a GMC Yukon, and several of my friends had Yukons or GMC trucks. The engines in all of them had to be replaced at just over 100,000 miles. No warranty.

We have a 14 Denali version and haven’t had any issues. It’s just a typical midsize suv.

A cursory search should tell you this is one of the worst vehicles produced in terms of mechanical reliability, but by all means, I think you should buy one rather than spend the time researching.

For some strange reason, I take the opinion of the O-T over the opinion of random website reviews, most of which are either outright fake or put on there by competing interests.

My wife has a 17 Denali, pretty nice SUV, but the road noise is worse than my old truck, otherwise, no real issues.

Had the '12 SLT version. After 6 years and only 58K miles I had to get rid of it for issues with the stabilitrak. It was a computer malfunction that impacted the engine performance. Kept getting an alarm stating "reduced engine power. service traction control." The car would basically lock up which was especially scary when driving down Airline Hwy with 2 kids. Over a 10 month period I brought it to 3 mechanics including GMC and no one could fix the issue. Finally sold it this April and bought a Pilot.

The 3.6L has timing chain issues. Timing cover leaks oil. Some transmission issues as well. Avoid.

The Acadias, along with the Equinox and other GM small SUVs are known for transmission problems. If you don’t mind putting in a new transmission at 100,000 to 150,000 it’s a good vehicle.

Google Acadia transmission problems among other things.
