So if we are being realistic, person first language is the preferred way of referring to individuals with exceptionalities. So there wouldn’t be a change to something like X-People/X-Persons/whatever, it would be more like People with X-Genes

That is someone who doesn't know the intellectual property very well. The X-Men, at least the modern incarnation, has always had strong female characters.
