Morning.
My job requires me to wear steel toes and I average about 12-15k steps a day. I run through work socks about every 2 months. Any recommendations on good sturdy socks? Don't mind paying a premium to keep my feet safe.

Cheers

Darn Tough. Buy a pair and test them out. They're great.

I got some Columbia socks that have been durable and comfortable. Give them a shot

I bought a few pairs of lightweight dickies merino blend socks from wal mart. I've been pretty happy with them.

Guy I work with is an ultra marathon runner and he wears injinji socks. They have toes on them and he swears they are the shite.
Been wanting to try them just cus I know how much he runs and he wears them with steel toes as well.

12k-15k a day average? Is that realistic? 2 months is probably doing good on socks then.

I do 6k-8k a day in steel toes. I swear by Gold Toe socks. I have chronic foot problems, flat feet/fallen arch, and have had plantar fascitis in both. Im trying some new ones that have extra padding at ball and heel that are doing well so far. I replace every 6 months usually, no matter what the condition the socks are in. I think insole insert has a lot to do with "wearing out" socks.

synthetic fiber socks will last longer than the natural fibers (wool, cotton). But often they will feel "clammy" without natural fibers.

Nike dri-fit are pretty decent. Probably not as high quality as some that are listed but maybe a better price.

Second Darn Tough. They are super comfortable, and Jew your feet cool and dry. With the lifetime warranty, if you wear them out send them in and they’ll get you a new pair.
