Someone explain this math brain teaser to me

I don’t know how they got the answer but the prime number thing doesn’t work. For example 29 is a prime number and you can buy 29 donuts

Meaning that any number higher than 43 will be some combination of 20, 6 and 9

It’s not that difficult. I’m not taking the time to figure it out, but for example, you can’t buy 19 donuts, because 9+6 is 15 and you can’t buy only 4 more; 6+6+6 is 18 and you can’t buy only one more. It’s asking for the highest number that you are unable to purchase.

It has enough info, it’s just poorly worded. Should have said largest exact amount of doughnuts that can’t be bought, or something to that nature.
