How did his upraising go? Did he have much interaction with his mother? Was he instead given up for adoption?

If his mother got the chance to know him... what were her feelings about him? No one wants to be raped, but having a child... that means a lot.

That's kind of as dicey as the whole abortion issue for setting people off.

But I can see someone in that situation feeling "I never want to see that thing again" or "I have a child, I love him."

And I'd think you could see both outcomes if it were possible to take a God's Eye view of these things.

So many questions. Past the rape, how do you interact with a mother who is retarded if you are normal? You love them, but odds are they won't be able to function like most people's mothers.

The chances of getting pregnant from a single rape are extremely small. You can go get the morning after pill and there isn't an issue.

But regardless of all of that, human life is sacred and should be protected.

When you allow society and the government to decide who gets to live and who gets to die based on their perceived worth or likelihood of care to society you are playing an extremely dangerous game.
