Apparently Lee Mallett is staring down the barrel of a pretty major workers comp fraud case. He allegedly hid employee compensation in the way of mileage payouts instead of salary to avoid paying higher insurance premiums. Once Lee sets his sights on you you’re pretty much fricked.
Gonna be a hot summer boys.

The real question here is who tipped off Lee Zurik. Who wants Mallet gone?

The IRS apparently. They’re are majors tax issues into the millions of dollars. They paid one employee almost 4,000 miles a day......... for an entire fricking year to the tune of over $500k in mileage.

That's insane. He would have been going extremely fast to make that many miles. And everyone knows the faster you drive, the better gas mileage you make.

What a bunch of morons. But seriously why cant I have bosses like that.

He had multiple employees being paid well into the six figures just in mileage. Plus he’s a repeat offender. He was caught in ‘05 for similar “missteps.”

State records obtained by FOX 8 show the company claims it paid the woman about $18,000 in wages and then paid her another $95,000 in mileage reimbursements.
I don’t think mileage is taxed, if not I’d think the IRS starts looking at the employees too

In 2005, investigators found another Mallett company had “the same sort of inaccuracies." Initially the company had a lower worker’s compensation premium -- $8,100 -- but after an extensive audit, investigators found the correct premium should have been nearly $1.3 Million.

According to the Worker’s Compensation Corporation, after the audit, it asked Mallett to pay the correct premium -- $1.3 Million -- but it says rather than pay the premium owed, Mallett transferred the ownership of the company to his father who then put the company in bankruptcy.

That particular company's name is "Progressive" - and that's not by accident. When I read something about Mallet a couple of months ago, he came across as a SJW, and those people have zero morals.

Holy shite. That scheme potentially f’d over the employees income tax payments. Just wait until the IRS finds out. Not good.

MileIQ going overtime. IRS target is auto mileage on any tax return under examination. Better have that mileage log plus other details or no tax deduction.

"Zero morals" yet JBE apparently appointed him to the LSU BOS.Is the only such appointee? Yea, right, EWE only stole once and got caught that one time.

Oh really?

He is a true conservative who has been appointed, by Gov. Bobby Jindal, to prominent committee positions. From 2006 to 2009, Lee served on the board of Louisiana’s Citizen Insurance Company. In 2010, Gov. Jindal appointed him to the State License Board of Contractors, where he is still serving to this day.
Jindal appointed Mallett

Maybe Mallett will fire up the ole Dell and logon to TD again.

Mileage and per diem are not taxed by the government so yeah, this is a LOT of tax evasion here which certainly sounds likely in the millions from what I'm reading. Some people just can't help but be greedy.

Doesn’t Mallett post on TD?
