GOT Season 8 Episode 4 Discussion

Folks, enough of the bickering about Episode 3. Lets move on to more important matters now that the White Walkers ended up being a huge bust and not relevant to the actual story.
Cersei is the endgame.
In the trailer we see:
-Daenerys interacting with her dragons (two of them)
-A brief shot of Ghost (not dead)
-Cersei, Euron and the Mountain all seem to be on a ship (where are they headed?)
-Daenerys's fleet also hitting the high seas, with a dragon overhead (where are they headed?)
-Daenerys leading the celebration of their victory against the Night King
Thoughts?

We are getting a predictable ending to this show

Cersei and the throne had and will always be the endgame even in the books as George says the show and books will end the same.

i guess i just find it interesting how people are saying the show has become so predictable didn't predict the arya scene from last night.
instead, they were likely predicting a jon snow battle with TNK, which would have been fan servicing a bit
so there's lot of consternation about a pivotal scene that happened that didn't fit what they wanted to happen.

I’ve been invested in this story for like 12 years baw. Gonna need another few hours
But the most satisfying ending to me would be the Lannister kids all reuniting at the end and keeping control of the realm. Jaime killing Brienne/Jon who is about to kill Cersei being the “big shock” at the end.

I'm not the one saying the end will be predictable but if it was predictable I would say Jamie kills Cersi. Hound kills the Mountain. Jon and Danny rule together. I'm guessing at the least one of Jon and Danny die though and maybe they will have a twist on who kills Cersi.

First, way too many main characters survived episode 3. Most of them already have completed story arcs.
Anyway. We need to assume the force of Daenerys force. Majority of the Dothraki and Unsullied are gone. As is the leftovers of the Northern forces.
I'm going to be very generous and say she has 1000 men left (although the show will probably beef that number up ala plot magic).
Yes we have 2 dragons, but even with them, they still have to worry about the Ballista (unless Dany conveniently forgot about it).
They have 2 options.
An infiltration/assassination mission.
Try to get more forces (although with only 3 episodes I dont see how that works or who is left to recruit from)
A large scale battle with Cersei is akin to suicide.

Hound kills the Mountain
Call it fan service or whatever, but this feels incredibly appropriate for both of those character’s arcs. The Mountain literally created the “monster” element of the Hound by what he did to him. And Jaime’s redemption arc has pointed towards him ending Ceresi for awhile now.

I hope that Stannis comes back and kills everybody

But that wouldn't just be a bit of fan servicing. That would be a absolute ton of fan servicing.
What did people expect? Jon, the lost son of Rhaegar Targaryen, to stab that wight dragon in the heart, and then fight his way through the undead and all the white walkers to fight the Night King in a 1-on-1 battle for the fate of mankind?
Yeah, that's not a basket full of tropes.

Hound wins Cleganebowl or at least doesn’t lose. Maybe Arya helps him
Cersei dies
Sansa and Tyrion end up together
Briene survives
Yara kills Euron
Arya gets pregnant
Dany gets pregnant
Cersei dies
Sansa and Tyrion end up together
Briene survives
Yara kills Euron
Arya gets pregnant
Dany gets pregnant
