The internet is dark full of assholes

Age of Ultron was criticized heavily when it came out, and rightfully so

Really? Most folks on here are afraid to criticize either because they're fanboys first. Give it time and the criticisms will surface.

Because being first to the internet to bitch about something is a team sport.
We had 4.5 hours of the best (not saying THE best) in gripping entertainment air this weekend and people want to have their voice be the loudest as to why it wasn’t good.

A lot of people bitched about a certain aspect of Endgame including myself.
Discussion about what parts you didn't like isn't hate and bile. Stop being a fanboy. There was good reason to feel dissatisfied with it.

that 15 second scene must have been tough for you.

Because the Avengers succeeds at what it is, a light hearted, action packed comic book movie. Game of Thrones for 4 seasons was built up as a dark, realistic, medieval fantasy world where actions had consequences and the heroes weren't bailed out by eagles at the last minute. The showrunners lost what the show was built on along the way and slowly the quality begin to drop, ultimately culminating in last night's episode.

nice edit I wouldn’t have complained.
People just want to complain. Neither were a perfect product.
I’m easy to please. I had a great 8 mile run on the trails this weekend, went and got a sunburn watching my kids play flag football, then we all went to Endgame, cried, and went to bed. Skipped church the next morning because we were all beat, went and grilled out with my mates, had some beers, and came home and watched the battle of Winterfell.
None of that went perfect, but it was a fantastic weekend in entertainment and time with my family and friends. People are fine to criticize but just like the poor, vocal critics wanting you to know how much they hated the flavor of the week will always be among us.

Excellent point. You'll see the same posters complain about things like fan service in Thrones, but rave about it in Avengers.

Did you not read the Endgame bitchfest thread? Ppl were literally butt hurt that they had scenes from the actual comics...

Most of the complaints come from book GOT people. ("If YOU HAD READ the books you would know why this sucks"). Most of the TV GOT fans realize that there are going to be plot holes in anything that is not 24 hours long. It called editing.

Endgame basically made all of the events of Ragnarok pointless.

Marvel movies have always been popcorn flicks, they are judged by a lower standard.
The first few seasons of GoT were extremely high quality and set the GoT bar very high.

I've stated it didn't bother me, search my post history. I didn't really like another aspect that is too spoilery to mention in this thread. I've kinda defended the scene you mention cause they ultimately fail.
I've come to terms with Endgame though, it was ultimately enjoyable.

The reason people rip Game of Thrones apart is because the show set high expectations for 4+ seasons. Incredible character development. Unreal world building. Legitimately shocking twists. Good writing. Etc.
Marvel movies are generally viewed through the lens of "big budget blockbuster." I don't expect perfect plots or the greatest monologues/acting. I know what I'm getting.
Thrones delivered in one way for season after season, and it's falling short in many of those ways now.

More interesting to me is that most of the ones bitching about "fan service" in GOT are the same ones that are pissed that we didn't get a 1v1 of Jon Snow vs the Night King.
Which would have been complete fan service.

Because we now live in an age when temper tantrums are all the rage. About 10 years ago the nation was turned into a big pot of pussy melters. If you don't like something, melt and whine and complain if it doesn't go your way. Pussification of America complete.
