Nice 247 article recognizing Delpit, Chaisson, and Fulton. Entire DEF has the potential to be better than the 2018 unit. We have returning play-makers (with depth) at every level - DL, LB and DB; and of course the mad scientist D.A. setting the pace.

Defense is so stacked it’s ridiculous. This isn’t even mentioning Jacob Philips who is up there imo, Stevens who can have a monster season, and Derek Stingley is one of the most talented players in all of CFB, just very young. I haven’t felt this confident about a team overall probably since I’ve religioulsy started keeping up with football since the 2011 season or so.

I don’t know how they can rank chaisson that high but I’m damn excited to see all our LB’s play. You have divinity, queen, Phillips, chaisson, and Stevens. Jesus Christ that’s some athletic sons of bitches

Chaisson being that high is a bit silly. Certainly he seems to have immense potential, and it's tough luck that he was injured early last year, but right now he has very little actual production to justify such hype the crazy hype. You could argue Derrick Stingley should be ranked just as high simply based on potential.

COULD he be one of the best 25 defensive players? Absolutely.

Can you say that for sure right now? No way

With his measurables, maturity and football IQ, I think Stingley will be recognized as one of the best defenders in CFB as a true FR. He's that good.

3. Grant Delpit, S, LSU

Impressive. We certainly aren’t hurting on defense so the loss of Sterns and Moses isn’t an issue- but it’s crazy to imagine that we could’ve even had 5 of the top 15, as both were committed to us at one point.
