True ... it really is mob rule. If they don't hate Alleva and fawn over Wade, they need to go.
The group think here is worse than anything on the poliboard.

I like Ralph, but he hasn't a shot. JBE is well ahead in all polling, and has millions in the campaign warchest. He will cruise to re-election. It's why Landry and Kennedy chose to sit it out.

If you can’t see alleva was. Terrible AD, you deserve to be ridiculed.

BOS voting records should be public
Being that this is a public university, why AREN'T Board votes public?
Any of you TD law folk care to run this up the Freedom and Information Act chain?
Inquiring minds wanna know!

They won’t even publicly state the grounds of his demotion and you think this is some easy unanimous decision lol. In fact they we flat out afraid to fire him. Some of you are so damn blind

STFU you beta bitch.
If we want your opinion, I'll give it to you in due course.

I disagree, you seldom get a board to agree 100% on anything.
The good news is they worked it out, they kept it quiet and moved decisively and quickly.
I give our board an A+.

Exactly. This is absurd. Dissention is good. You could, on the next issue, disagree with all the guys who wanted alleva out and agree with the ones that didn't. What then? Get rid of the guys who wanted alleva out just because you disagree now?

I'm not saying this is how it played out, but let me offer some insight as I served on a couple of government appointed boards.
A proposal is made which everyone is generally in agreement (remove Alleva in this instance). Based on political fall out, a quick straw poll is taken before the meeting to determine if the votes are there. Once that's established, those that need political cover for whatever reason are told to vote no, protest, whatever to appease whoever is creating pressure. It really doesn't matter who votes yes, and who votes no, as long as the resolution passes.
A very wise Louisiana politician (yes, there are a few) once told me, "Don't worry about who voted which way. None of that matters as long as you get what what you want. Just count the vote, than thank everyone."

I promise you, in a few years they'll ALL be claiming they were the ones who supported it 100%.

They can be worse than the SJW's at Berkeley about dealing with someone with differing views.

Let me know when the bus drops you off from school and I'll try to do a better job explaining how things work in grown up land.

I understood your explanation perfectly. But just like everything in politics, a board member should be able to stand behind their vote. Assuming the goal was removing the AD, those opposed should be able to explain their reasoning.
I'm an alumnus who gives back to the university as well as a taxpayer whom funds it. Is there anything wrong with asking what the tally of a Board of Supervisors vote was?
