The decision to remove Alleva as athletic director was made Tuesday night during a tight-lipped executive meeting held by the LSU Board of Supervisors, according to a board member who asked not to be identified because university officials asked members to remain quiet.
quote:
The board mentioned only "potential litigation" as its official business at the meeting, but board members were expecting a briefing on men's basketball coach Will Wade's return from suspension, in addition to discussing unrelated lawsuits, two sources with close knowledge of the board told The Advocate on Tuesday.

Not all board members were involved in the meeting. Some were miffed and some were not supportive of the decision to remove Alleva.

These people need to be publicly identified and removed from the BoS as expeditiously as possible. Anyone who didn't want Alleva removed clearly does not have LSU's best interests at heart, and as such has zero business being on the BoS of the school.

BOS voting records should be public

Yeah, because God forbid a member of the body charged with running a Tier 1 research institution have a different opinion on an athletic director.

Can we get a list of which ones opposed so we know which non-LSU graduate members need to be replaced?

It sounds to me like the ones who wanted Alleva out sprung a trap on the others. And that’s fine by me

Want to bet it's the leftover Jindal appointees still on the BOS?

I agree with his 100%
Voting records on all appointed or elected officials and or board members should be public knowledge.

Wait until January 2020 when Ralph Abraham takes office.

Same, because if there is anything an appointed board likes, it's status quo. You couldn't get some of those mf'ers to make a decision to change if you held a gun to their head.
They weren't necessarily in favor of Alleva, they were in favor of not doing anything.

Are we still a Tier 1 school? It was my understanding that our status was in decline and set to be readjusted.
