Add fraud and money laundering to her rap sheet.
I hope they find a way to throw that dumbass kid of hers in jail too. Ivy Jade or whatever TF her name is.
quote:
Actress Lori Loughlin is already in trouble for shelling out hundreds of thousands of dollars to get her daughters into the University of Southern California, one of many parents indicted in the college admission scandal. On Tuesday, her rap sheet got a bit longer. She and her husband Mossimo Giannulli and another 14 parents have now been indicted on fraud and money laundering charges. If they reach a plea deal, Loughlin and her husband will face a minimum two-year prison sentence. Other reports, however, suggest they could be serving up to 20 years.
The parents were charged in Boston in a "second superseding indictment with conspiring to commit fraud and money laundering," the Department of Justice said in a statement to Fox News.

Such a two-year waste of the public's tax dollars.
Kids get into schools all the time despite not meeting the academic requirements.
Legacies at the Ivies, rich prominent Daddy (you think George Bush gets into Yale if it wasn't for his Dad) or what country you're from to provide diversity or inner-city even if your test scores are sub-standard or you can dribble or kick a ball.
If parents want to waste their money, then be my guest giving some College Admissions dude some money so he takes your kid. They're already punished enough by wasting their money.
Where's the indictments on Duke paying for a player to come to a school?
Don't you think it's a bigger deal that schools are paying parents so their kid will attend their school instead of parents paying the school so their kids can attend???? I mean the latter, everyone wins out.

$250,000 fine, 1 year of probation, and the best Academy Award winning tearful apology ever.

When they listed those payments as charitable donations and reduced their income for tax purposes, we run into problems...

As I said to you in another thread, the bribes to get the kids in aren’t nearly as big an issue as the fact they committed federal tax fraud in the process.
Martha Stewart went to prison for insider trading when she actually lost money in the bargain. These idiots are going to jail for years if they don’t plead out because everything the Feds are piling on here is stuff they clearly did.

It was to a handler not the university itself. WGAF? That person should be in trouble then, not the moms.

The judge should force her to come stay at my house. I'll punish her.

I'll take care of her daughter while Lori is in prison.

True, but it doesn’t mean the Feds won’t get a conviction on every single count involved.
At this point it is just ratcheting up the minimum sentence they receive and/or the size of the back taxes they pay when they have to refile their returns.
