I'm having a couple of friends over tomorrow night and I like to provide wine and snacks. I usually make queso, salsa, pigs in a blanket but I want to switch it up this time.

Any ideas on simple but delicous finger foods?

We don't have a Chik-Fil-A up here. Otherwise, we would totally get down on some nuggets.

Also, we all work at a brewery so there is no shortage of beer. I have wine and liquor as options as well because sometimes we are beered out.

Thanks for the invite.

Factually incorrect. There’s one in Burlington, Canton, and Natick. And they’ll be putting one in the Pru soon.

To answer your original question, balls of melon wrapped in procuitto is always a winner.

Appreciate it, but I’m fighting the flu this weekend. I really need to get back to Aeronaut soon though.

Philadelphia Cream Cheese, crackers of your choice and pepper jelly.

Put the PCC on a plate, cover with pepper jelly and let folks have at it with some crackers.

Guacamole and tortilla strips.

Fruit, and/or vegetable tray with ranch dressing.

Deviled eggs are always good.

Last time I had a get together we did pepper jelly meatballs that were a hit.

I like to do fruit salsa as well served with cinnamon sugar pitas chips.

Smoked salmon deviled eggs, a nice cheese tray, bowl of pistachios, an iced bowl of boiled shrimp with remoulade dipping sauce, a platter of sliced tomatoes red onion and sliced mozzarella with a bit of olive oil and salt and pepper (although a bit early for good tomatoes)

Bake a couple sheets of chicken wings and serve with dipping sauce. If having wine some good chocolate and pieces of fruit. Hummus, seasoned popcorn, platter of baked goods, brownies, cookies etc...

Bowl of wasabi peas, a nice baked Brie with figs and nuts or honey and pistachios.

Bowl of olives, a good pate’, a cutting board with a few whole apples and a bowl of peanut butter on it so they can slice themselves and spread.

A bowl of Skittles. Yes skittles. I have a friend who serves this at every party and for some reason it goes fast. It actually works well with heavy beers and wines.

A small cake or pie, trail mix, vegetable platter with homemade ranch. Small roasted potatoes with a dip, whole roasted cauliflower like Dominica.

This sounds delicious. Fruit salsa.. I’ve never heard of that.

Try it sometime! I don't have a recipe, but basically it's mainly strawberries and then whatever fruit you want. Put it in the food processor until your desired consistency then add a little jelly/jam.

Buy some pitted dates. Slice them in half length wise. Soften some blue cheese or blue cheese crumbles and some cream cheese. Amounts are to your taste. I like a good bit of blue cheese flavor. Mix the cheeses together. If you want, add some crumbled bacon to the mixture. Stuff the date halves with the cheese mixture. Top each with a roasted pecan. Delicious.
