American League = high maintenance nancies.
They're not yelling from the dugout if their pitcher is having to bat.

They let Joe West and Angel Hernandez on the same crew for a long time. No idea.

I'm a Cardinals fan and I want to fight that umpire right now.

More from last night:

MLB really needs to do something about that guy. Dude was looking for a fight last night from the get go and I’m saying that as someone who isn’t a Stros fan.
And the automated balls and strike crowd should use these videos as an example of why human umps should be replaced. Ridiculous

What is with the trend of officials making themselves the center of attention the last year or so. This is ridiculous, STFU officiate the game.

What a clown. Doesn’t realize he’s making the argument for replacing him with a computer all by himself.

It really amazes me that MLB hasn't moved to auto balls and strikes yet. You have morons like this dictating outcomes and ruining the game while the technology has been there for years to get rid of him.

I have a very close personal friend who just last year was finally promoted to MLB from the minor leagues as an umpire. 2 years ago he almost left the profession entirely because he couldn't deal with the level of unprofessional umpires. His father officiated NCAA womens basketball for 30 years and did multiple Final Fours, so he was raised in the profession. His father basically saved him from leaving, but the issue still stands. Major League baseball has a serious issue with umpires who cant stand the heat, let fans get under their skin, don't take criticism well and think that they "can do whatever they want" just like this pathetic umpire. The problem is, once these guys are called up and established, its almost impossible to demote or fire them. If an umpire like this guy could be demoted back to the minor leagues, maybe the threat of that would keep some of these losers off the MLB field. This umpire was absolutely in the wrong...unfortunately nothing will happen to him at all.

He'll get a slap on the wrist from the MLB office once they review it all.
It's not like they can't see immediately how bad some of his calls were.

This isnt some new trend. There have always been umps and refs like this.

That ump should issue a Mea Kulpa.
That's all I got.

That is actually the best suggestion I have heard on this.
Some of these dickheads think they are untouchable once they make it to MLB. Maybe a few weeks back in the Class A Midwest league calling games in Fort Wayne and Cedar Rapids would re-adjust some of these guy's attitudes.
