I may have missed this discussion previously, so pardon the redundancy. I cut the cable cord this year, so no ESPN. Is there another outlet to watch the F1 circuit? (live or delay doesn't matter, just want to see the races, got hooked two years ago). I stream with Amazon Firestick. TIA.

r/motorsportsstreams

Never actually tried it myself, but during football season r/nflstreams is amazing.

Alexander Albon (Toro Rosso) just had a massive crash in FP3. Car is totally destroyed. He is okay.

He’ll probably miss qualifying.

I would imagine so.

Seems like one guy does that every year. Runs wide in the last corner and loses control.

Well that was discouraging qualy session. We need Ferrari to step it up or this will be a boring season.

Of the top four teams, the two drivers for each team were within 0.1s of each other, except Red Bull, where Gasly was over 0.8s slower than Verstappen. He is sucking it up, and it's starting to look like he's wasting the seat. I hope he can pick it up soon.

Haas not setting a time in Q3 should produce interesting Guenther Steiner footage for next season of Drive to Survive

I'm getting a little sick of the "Oh, woe is me" act out of Mercedes. They're the best team and it's not close. fricking sandbaggers.

Q: How's your relationship with Nico Hulkenberg compared to your relationship with Max?

A: Well they're both non-sexual...

Also this is supposedly the 1000th F1 Grand Prix, and several drivers have special commemorative helmets. The drivers are usually only allowed one special helmet during the season, but this year they were given one more exception. Here's a page showing all the special helmets:

https://wtf1.com/post/f1-drivers-are-running-a-bunch-of-special-helmet-designs-to-celebrate-the-1000th-gp/

However, some are arguing that this will only be the 974th F1 Grand Prix, and this is why: (1) For 11 years (1950-1960) the world championship included the Indy 500, but they were run under completely different rules and obviously weren't F1 cars, and (2), in 1952 and 1953 the world championship was run under F2 rules, so there were a total of 26 races that were not run with F1 cars / under F1 rules.

If you could earn points, it counted. My opinion anyway.
