Rand Paul just made sure I have absolutely no desire to support a libertarian ever again.
They're weak as hell on border security, fighting against illegal immigration and legal immigration that's too generous, national sovereignty and doing what it takes to maintain the demographics that makes this country strong.

I support that. The war on drugs is pretty much tied to the immigration crisis.
However, Rand only halfway there. You need to be as tough on immigration as you possibly can be and do everything you can to end the war on drugs.

I support reducing those if not outright slashing them very significantly.
If it were up to me, I would decriminalize all drugs, declare it a public health issue and slash all welfare by 50% and not entirely because you do need to bribe the poor masses so they don't get violent.

Trump is using power Congress gave the Presidency by statute and principled libertarian Rand Paul is not making a single peep about repealing that or amending it.
It's a power that has been used by several different Presidents for conflicts in far away countries that has no effect on Americans daily lives but it's suddenly an outrage when Trump wants to use it to secure the borders in our own country.
