They're going to say the balance of power still matters and branches should not override the others. Sounds like true small government to me

What sticks out to me is that they all represent states way the frick away from the border.

GOP is DOA in border states except for Texas. All that Bible Thumping and dog whistling doesn't play well in states like Cali and Arizona. Why do you think McCain and Dubya were soft on immigration? Reagan was the same way, look up his speech in 1980 (with Bush I).

No thanks, Rand actually wants to end America's war policing and the War on Drugs.

What does that have to do with the invasion at the border??

I don’t want to shock you, but this may actually be the motivation for some of these people. Nuance exists, almost nothing is as simple as “for” or “against”. People like Sens Lee and Paul should not surprise by being on this list. They consistently espouse these principles. Doing right things the wrong way doesn’t work for some people.

I'll believe that when they vote to overturn DACA. Until then I will believe this was purely political.

How is lessening for the need of all those government agencies and agents, that are needed to continue the catch and release and welfare programs, not an indication of "true small government" approach?

Protecting the country? Did the Berlin Wall protect East Germany? Serious question.

Trump moved money to enforce existing law

A democrat president wiping away firearms would not be equivalent. Nor would a new law dealing with climate change somehow.

Executive branch having more power over of the other is big government. The president being able to pas whatever because he says it's an emergency it actually authoritarian

These people have lost their damn marbles. They prob. think most illegals are Mexican and Mexicans are still having 8 kids per family (nevermind Mexico has a lower birthrate than America).

Do you actually thing a president pushing through something he couldn't get passed in the house is the right thing or are you just wanting to side with Trump?

Most of the illegals coming through the southern border are from central America, a region that's been destabilized by the effects of drug prohibition. It's common practice for drug gangs/cartels to press young males at the point of a gun.
