These are the Senate Republicans who voted against President Trump's border emergency declaration on Thursday:

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah
Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine
Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska
Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn.
Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah
Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan.
Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa.
Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio
Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss.
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla.
Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo.

And they are going to say it was on the principle of Congress should decide this.

Except they sat on their asses and did nothing for years. I hope an illegal does not harm their families, although......

I would buy the argument if Dems hadn't make it 100% clear that they will not stop criminal illegal immigration. Their isn't a congressional path and something must be done.

I don’t want to shock you, but this may actually be the motivation for some of these people. Nuance exists, almost nothing is as simple as “for” or “against”. People like Sens Lee and Paul should not surprise by being on this list.

They consistently espouse these principles. Doing right things the wrong way doesn’t work for some people.

I am here to throw myself on the mercy of the board. I was a very early supporter of Rubio. I met him while volunteering for the GOP in Florida years ago. I thought he was going to be a star. He was touting his conservative Christian values and killing it with demographic groups that the GOP had always struggled to reach.. I voted for him in the primary. I have tried to defend him in some of his stances. Today I am done. The protecting of the fundamentals of constitutional government argument is BS. There is a crisis on the border and the president has the right to declare this emergency. I did vote for Trump when it mattered and I am pleasantly surprised by his success but I held out hope for Marco until today.. So, mea culpa.

so God damned noble I bet their shite doesn't stink

Sure, let's just roll over for assholes who allow women to get stalked and killed by cretins who have been allowed to roam the country even after ICE asked about them NINE TIMES. Nope no crisis

I can't believe these dumbshits don't know that the democrats are going to do whatever they want anyway regardless of whether the Republicans did it first. It is like the whole 15 years of handwringing about the nuclear option before Reid did it anyway never happened.

Oh, but they are fricking "principled" as another 80,000 scumbags sneak across the border this month!

The change the damn law!!! Congress gave the President this power and they all used it more than Trump has for things not as bad as what's happening now.

Good. The powers of the Executive (and Judicial) branches are too great in my opinion. For the rest of of our lives, we’ll have a Democrat in the White House half the time. I don’t want the President to have this much power.

He lost me when he choked on the water during his republican response to Hussein and if that was not enough he was part of the original gang of 8 and their crusade for open borders. I hate Rubio !

I tweeted at Marco about being primaried, only to find that I am shadow banned. There are three others that tweeted basically the same thing. When I refreshed, two were gone. What a foam-sucking jackhole.

Yeah, I need someone to tell me what the Senate vote was for all the previous emergency declarations. Never heard of the legislature having a damn thing to do with it, before this one. Anyone?

My boy Tillis heard the footsteps and pulled a 180 at the last minute. Better late than never to smarten up.
