Idk, there have been many TEs already signed.

Those remaining might face a cooled market like Ingram did.

I hope he signs for us for less than what I think he'll make (which is less than what LE and a lot of others think he'll make)

I don’t think Cook is a great tight end. But would he be an improvement over what we had last season? Absolutely.

The guy hasn’t had a good QB outside of Rodgers in his entire career. And Rodgers just doesn’t throw to his TE for whatever reason. His best production was with fricking Derek Carr. I don’t think Cook is a world beater but he doesn’t have to be in order to be another threat and a guy Drew can consistently go to if teams bracket Kamara and Thomas

He’s not my favorite either. Very straight line but would fill a need for sure

For all the TE FA talk, not much has been said about TE's that should be very available via trade:

Indy Colts: Jack Doyle : he played really well with Luck whenever Ebron was out. Ebron was insane when healthy, so he got phased out.
Redskins: Jordan Reed or Vernon Davis: Reed is a stud when healthy (which is rare). Davis is aging, but we all know what he can do (frick the 2011 9ers)

I would trade our 5th for any of those gentlemen.

He’s no Kittle or Kelce but Cook is definitely in the next tier.

By far the best FA TE available. WANT.

There are like 4-5 tight ends that are head and shoulders above everyone. The next 10-12 are pretty equal imo. I don’t wanna overpay for Cook but we need a solid option at TE.

If you think he would’ve caught the TD Arnold dropped against the Rams then he’s already an upgrade.

He's pretty good but overrated here. I think he gets overpaid on his career year last year.

He's been a nothing TE since he entered the league. Let him pass through.

Look at the QBs he’s played with

Matt Hasselbeck
Austin Davis
Jake Locker
Nick Foles
Kellen Clemens
Sam Bradford
Kerry Collins
Shaun Hill
Case Keenum
Vince Young
Rusty Smith

Doyle won't be available for trade.

He didn't get phased out. When healthy, he got the higher percentage of snaps nearly every week he and Ebron played together. Ebron was just super efficient with his limited targets and a clear weapon near the endzone.

I only know this because of having Ebron in my dynasty fantasy team.

As far as Cook, considering what he did with Carr, last season, I think he can do even better with Brees. Look at what Brees did with Watson a few years back. That should be Cook's floor with us.

That was a tough play, would have totally changed the entire landscape of that game, but yes I think Cook comes down with that ball. It’s a tough catch but most tight ends are able to make that play. Arnold, for being a receiving tight end, dropped a few balls, a few crucial ones if I remember correctly

We should draft 1 or even 2 TEs since there are so many available.

Set Teddy (or future QB) up with 2 young large TEs.

Take Moreau in the 5-6 round (neva gonna happen)

If Cook wants too much dough then I would say TE is our first pick and that I dare say we move up for one.... Maybe a WR or if a tremendous BPA falls in our lap would be the other scenario. Do y’all agree?

And he put the ball on the ground vs Dallas. Can't hold the ball

Payton has a weird fetish for UDFA TEs.

How good is he actually? Is this opportunity more about our need than him being a great TE?
