Former Vikings’ RB Latavius Murray intends to sign a four-year deal with the Saints, per source.

A shakeup to RB market. It now means Mark Ingram not expected to return to New Orleans.

Mark probably wanted too much cash, tough to pay him. Schefter says 4 years $14.4 million. Not awful deal but I don’t personally like it

yeah this sucks...

if we were going to let him walk I would rather start fresh at the position in the draft or we could have claimed Kareem Hunt.

Murray is a solid downhill runner. I'm good with this.

The big thing will be can they use the money they saved to get a good receiving tight end.

I'd rather have just resigned ingram also.

Maybe they tried to call ingram s bluff on the money and he called it so they had to move on to Murray.

My guess is this is m9re of a 2 year 6 or 7 mil

Means that Ingram probably valued himself a lot more than the saints did.

The amount these players make only matter in terms of how it helps or hurts the chances of the team getting better. I trust Payton’s ability to plug players into his system and get the best value.

This means more money to go around. Maybe they see a receiver they can snag with the saved money.
