Not very. The whole state isn't Austin.

Check back in like 15 years.

In statewide elections, TX is still red. But the NRCC and NRSC better start investing heavily in these TX races or the Texas Congressional delegation will start looking very different

If CA keeps doubling down every year on their tax policies, it won't be long. Unfortunately, Dems are locusts

Texas, Georgia, Florida, and even Tennessee are closer than you think. Decades of Illegal Immigration has consequences. Ronald Reagan started this mess.

Dangerously close. Closer than I would care to admit.

Look at the last cycle if that trend continues it will be blue (at least 1/2) in Senate representation and will vote blue in the presidential race in 6 years.

We lost a ton of statehouse seats, state senate seats, and most importantly state court of appeals judges. If the folks in power don’t start to realize how precarious things are we as a state and as a nation are in serious troubles.

Wrong...it will happen. The effects of unchecked illegal immigration and tons of transplants moving in, particularly from California will make it happen.

Cruz should have shite stomped Beto and the fact that it was close should tell you something.

I’m not so sure that it’s the liberals fleeing California’s tax policies. It seems more likely that the people fleeing CA are a more fiscally responsibile voting block. People with a low financial IQ are more likely to stay.

The Dems know it's the next battleground. This is why we not only need a wall/fence/barrier, but we need to decrease immigration and stop accepting people from Mexico and Central America.

Y'all laught at it now, but the Left is winning a culture war and they are relentless.

Yes, it told me that Ted Cruz was an extremely shitty candidate who had terrible negative effects on down ballot voting in our urban areas.

White, privileged, cis-gendered Greg Abbot did just fine in the governor's race, defeating a minority Hispanic woman by 14 points. It was never a winnable race for Valdez, and its the same population that voted for Cruz/Beto. The difference between the 2 races was the candidates themselves. Not the constituency.

Cruz isn’t well liked AT ALL. And Beto was a dream candidate for the dems.

Abbot stomped his opponent in the other big race.

The valley is increasing hispanic population drastically and also in every big city. Immigration will flip the state in 10 years. They have kids like rabbits an dems are good at promising free shite.
