NASA scientist: "We're toast"

WASHINGTON - Exactly 20 year after warning America about global warming, a top NASA scientist said the situation has gotten so bad that the world's only hope is drastic action.
James Hansen told Congress on Monday that the world was long passed the danger level for greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and needs to get back to 1988 levels. He said Earth's atmosphere can only stay this loaded with man-made carbon dioxide for a couple of decades without changes such as mass extinction, ecosystem collapse and dramatic sea level rises.
Whoa, that sounds really bad.
quote:
"We see a tipping point occurring right before our eyes," Hansen told the AP before the luncheon. "The Arctic is the first tipping point and it's occurring exactly the way we said it would."
Hansen, echoing work of other scientists said the in five to 10 year, the Arctic will be free of sea ice in the summer.

Man we better do something.
Oh wait. That was June 23, 2008.
So let's check that Arctic ice prediction.

Well last summer, summer of 2018 it look like we had about the same volume of sea ice that we always have going back at least 12 years.
Why was Hansen trying to scare us back in 2008?

But this time... IT'S FOR REAL.

Well done.
These guys don’t have careers and under the table cash if they aren’t ringing climate alarms.
The Jussie Smollet’s of science.

We are in greater peril from the martians getting pissed about us littering their planet and space around them with our space junk than we are from global warming.

He best not be employed or drawing a federal retirement.

Check every prediction of the last 50 years and they’re always wrong

If we only have 20 years left, I’m about to run up tons of debt and live like i won the lottery.

A true crisis of conscious. I hope he sleeps well at night, knowing that every time NASA launches a rocket, it's dumping carbon and aluminum particles into the atmosphere.

Hansen is the same hack that was trying to scare people 40 years ago.

Interesting the difference between months and what that looks like on a map.
