Which OB member is Texas Walrus under the customer photos on the Academy’s site? Great pic with the bare foot.

As someone who primarily fly fishes, what would this be a good rod for generally? I live right off a good sized river with trout and some "hybrid bass" along with bluegills... assuming it'd be fine for that, as well as taking it to ponds/lakes for bass?

CCA coupons? I think mine are expired

No. It was some generic coupon that I got in the mail. Only good for February.

Luckily I already have that reel and am not in need of another. I paid $110 for that reel on a Revo rod combo. The rod is fine, and I really like the reel. I have a Revo X and a Revo SX, and I like them both. You'd be hard pressed to find a better reel for the price IMO. I bought the SX on ebay for like $70. I bid on it not expecting to win it, but I did. I wasn't mad about it.

Unique code or reusable? Wouldn't turn down an even better deal here.

To me, a 7' Med/Fast rod is about as generally useful as you can get. Bass and hybrids for sure. Its light enough powered to throw a wide range of lures but heavy enough to handle pretty much anything in a river. A lot of guys bass fish with Medium heavy rods, but to me, unless you're throwing bigger lures around heavy cover, it's overkill.

In. Just picked one up on my lunch break.

Shreveport academy says limited stock so I went to Bossier City. They have about 10 in stock.

Bass Pro has booyah spinnerbaits $1.99 apiece if anyone still has too much money. I just walked out with all the 1/2oz white and chartreuse I could carry.

My dad grabbed two of them and some fishing line. He sent me an itemized invoice including some other stuff I owe him for. I sent him about 90 cents less and told him his math is wrong. I had 3 missed calls from him after lunch. He is probably going over it with his abacus again pissed off as all hell

That made me laugh more than it should. Probably because mine would do the same.

No worries. Different state. We'll see if I have any issues picking one up here.

Nothing better than getting your whopper plopper wet. Especially in new uncharted water

I was too when they were made in Houston. Now, just another cheap chinese blank.

I can get the GEN 4 Revo X's for $75 so I'll have to pass on this one.

Picked up the last one in Hammond just now. Someone had checked all the ones in Baton Rouge and drove over to Hammond and picked up several yesterday.
