Next week is going to be weird (again).
There are people within the Pelicans who believe AD has played his last game for the franchise.
AD has made it perfectly clear this weekend he intends to keep playing.
The NBA didn’t clarify its position. So what’s the tipping point?

Although Crewz said he would not play again, I am finding it hard to see a way that the Pelicans can keep him out without significant push back.

With the ASG over and Davis either injured or “injured”, he doesn’t get back on the court immediately.
The team can point to the fact that Davis had the fewest minutes of any player but the ancient Dirk Nowinski in the ASG for circumstantial proof of said “injury”.
The real question is whether the NBAPA wants to push the issue of a grievance over this considering Davis was halfassing it his last few games on the court.

So? Let them push back, then control the narrative on behalf of small market teams.

Kind of depends who is pushing here.
The league wanted him in the ASG and not to sit healthy players.
AD says he wants to play but his effort, bar his first game back, says otherwise.
The NBAPA can protest sitting him if he files a grievance but the team can counter showing him dogging it on the court and leaving at halftime without notifying the team, the latter of which is grounds for a suspension for Conduct Detrimental to the Team if they need to go there.
Easiest thing for everyone involved at this point is to sit AD and there are counters to most attempts to force us otherwise.
The one we wouldn’t have a counter for would be the league withholding pics but AD’s claimed injury is a fig leaf to say “we aren’t sitting a healthy player.”

I would sit him now. I thought he shoulder was hurting so bad he had to leave during the game with Rich Paul to goto all star weekend. I mean get an MRI

He’s injured let him sit down and get better for next year

The all knowing Crewz has declared AD will not play? Then it must be so!

This is a coordinated media push by the Pelicans:
For Anthony Davis and the Pelicans the Solution is to Stop Playing - Stein
Stein quotes Silver from ESPN Radio saying “It’s a very unhealthy situation for the team and, frankly, for Anthony as well,”
Joel spent a long portion of his radio show going off on AD this morning and pleading that he should be sat also.

There were strong signals in Charlotte that the Pelicans — with Danny Ferry now serving as their acting general manager in the wake of Friday’s firing of Dell Demps — intend to re-engage the N.B.A. this week in hopes of convincing league officials to rethink their stance about forcing them to play Davis.
The N.B.A. Players Association would presumably get involved if New Orleans is successful, but I’d advise the Pelicans to hold firm. Take any fine that comes. The team has played better, scrappier ball without Davis anyway — and heaven forbid he suffers a serious injury in the regular season’s dog days.

I have a cause that I push for on this board. We take one person’s word as fact far too often. Gotta open your minds. And the one way to do that is to continue showing y’all that he’s not what you think he is
But don’t take my word for it. I’m just planting the idea

Or you could just ignore it and shut up about it.

See that’s the point. This board is more one sided than the Poli Board. Any dissenting opinion is silenced. It’s just basketball news/rumor instead of politics. There’s no discussion. Anyone that was here that used to not take Crewz on his word has left. And his attitude on people asking questions or having differing opinions has become the attitude of the entire board. It’s disgusting and unhealthy
Look at the last couple days. Crewz hasn’t posted for a few days and the board goes silent. Crewz love has crippled the board

The board is not lacking original opinion man. Relax.

With him leaving early in one game and half assing another, there is no reason to play AD anymore. He's made it known that he doesn't want to be here with his "all 29 other teams are on my list."
The NBA did nothing about Melo being sent home for a month before deciding what they would do.
Chances are AD's "injury" will be used to sit him out at least one week. The Pelicans will probably make a hard push during that time to convince the League office that it is in the best interest of both parties to be sent home

This board loved Monty before they hated him. They trusted Demps before they wanted to run him out of town. This board may be one sided but we are completely capable of changing what side we're on based on changing evidence. You don't change our minds by saying "you're all idiots to believe Crewz", you change our minds by offering us something else to believe in and a reason to believe it.

The dude has a line on information, if you have a skeptical opinion that you'd like to share, please do. If not, you're literally just trying to generate some poisonous peanut gallery crap.

2 Lakers games in that span. No chance he plays in those.
The Pels are making a hard push to sit him. I think Silver is going to try to get a resolution between AD and the Pels so that the PA doesn't get involved.

Though I do agree that there's no point in bringing Crewz up now. Haven't seen a post of his in a day or 2, so just enjoy that and not worry about Crewz.
