Was it luck yesterday and today or is LSU destined for Omaha? A lot of improvement needed over the next several weeks, and some lineup changes for sure if LSU expects to go to Omaha. A lot of unknowns at the moment to say the least. LSU needs to find more than "the one pitcher" for their rotation, definitely need more hitters at the bottom of their lineup.

HRs aren't luck. And ULM didn't outplay LSU at all.

Here’s a small piece of advice. When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.

Mainairi has over a decade of work at LSU that shows he will figure out the correct line up and they will be clicking in May.

It always annoys me that when a team doesn't play well, but ends up winning, people automatically say "they got outplayed".

Sometimes that's true, but not every time. I thought both teams were very charitable and that neither team played better than the other. It was just a lackluster first 8 innings for the team that was favored. With Army, you kind of expect the mistakes.

People always seem to freak out about midweek games and games early in the year that we lose. Then SEC play starts and we kick arse. They didn’t play well today bit they still win. Still undefeated.

This pretty much exemplifies both games so far. But it’s typical early season stuff.

I don’t remember the last time LSU, under “Pawwl,” finished the year worse than how they started. This team will be clicking at the right time. I agree we got lucky today, but as they say, “that’s baseball.” We’ll be fine. Try not to melt every time something doesn’t go right—especially this early.

Is it not better to say that than to say the team sucks and won’t win anything 2 games in.

It was a very close game between two good teams both of whom will be in the NCAA Ty. LSU relievers walked too many batters. So did Army's last reliever.
