Championship or bust. Anything less is a colossal failure.

Why does he get so much hate?

Because of the crybabies who occupy this board. They were crying, bitching, moaning and being miserable all off-season. you know - typical catastrophe syndrome and perpetual pessimism displayed by the estrogen laden posters on this board.

I told them all year they were wrong and they just doubled down and got their estrogen levels ever higher. Throwing hissy fits, calling me names, bashing the LSU program and coaches.

TURNS OUT I WAS RIGHT AND THEY ARE MISERABLE IDIOTS. I sent a lot of them into hiding - back into the woodwork like the roaches they are. Now I am hated by the haters. It's cool. If I was liked by them I would really worry.

That and they HATE TO SEE the LSU head football coach smile. It reminds them that they are huge idiots.

They are like "damn all that shite talking I did for 8 or 9 months fricking backfired".

I'm pretty sure that they always meant to retool the offense. I also get the impression that they want to come up with their own not completely copy someone else's.

I 100% disagree with the championship or bust mentality. A lot has to go right to win a championship. Only one team can do it. If you wanna put a win total on it or some other high, but reasonable expectations on it then I'm all for that.

It affected Trev-Trolling29 so much that when he realized that LSU was probably going to finish with 10 wins and with a top 10 ranking he ditched his old username and sent it into permanent hiding and came up with an alter. I am curious who he used to be - to take it so badly he is now going by an alias.

Anything less than 11-2 and I think We need to make some moves.

We need to be real players in the CFP after 12 games not just in the realm of chaos possibility after 11.

I want to get to a point where we’re in the mix every year, but if we’re ramping up this is it

8 offensive starters returning
7 defensive starters
5th year Senior QB
5*s coming in at 2 of the positions we don’t return starters at.

But we got everything in place for a run at it. I’m pretty sure nobody will be calling for heads if we just make the playoffs though. So, it doesn’t have to be a championship but it needs to be the playoffs of bust. This is the year! We got all the positions!

I don't really disagree with you or Sammy. I'm expecting a damn good season and we have everything in place to make a playoff push.

There are probably a lot of fans of quite a few teams saying the same thing right now.

Well we hired Ensminger so clearly we had to come up with our own offense because no one wants him to bust out a 1994 playbook.

It’s pretty hard to actually “copy” someone’s playbook, but I think we just didn’t assemble the right staff to do what we wanted.

Like I think we hoped it would work last year but hiring a guy like Sullivan to help run a modern college passing game doesn’t make sense.

All teams have injuries. Unless it's Burrow, we have to operate on a next man up mentality. We should have been building quality depth and QB should be the only position that would dramatically effect performance. Even if Burrow were to go down, Brennan will be in his 3rd year on roster so he needs to be ready to step in if need be.

It happens to every team.

It’s year 3
People keep saying we have all this depth.

Depth doesn’t mean bodies on the roster it means you aren’t falling apart if someone get injured.

Outside Burrow.

I’ll give you Burrow.

“ some people have been calling the baseball program mediocre even though it’s been a top 10 program for a decade”

The difference being baseball has won 3 SEC championships since 2012 and football has won none.

I’m pretty sure I remember hearing one of the reasons justifying our coaching change three years ago was that we hadn’t won the west or even been competitive in the race for the west since 2012.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having an expectation of winning the west championship this yr. If not this year, when?
