If I was a LSU fan, watching the Green River Race would be more fun than watching Bama push their shite in again.

I used to be a recreational kayaker, spent basically every weekend in the mountains; but I had a regular job. You would be surprised how many "pro's" there are.

The difference between semi-pro and pro, I'm not really sure. The "pro-boaters" are basically the ones who get free kayaks, it's not exactly a career.

It's really fun though.

And about the pic, that's not extremely difficult. It's a drop-pool, if you got the balls to paddle to the ledge, you'll be fine.

Bit of a fallacy. Yeah, the old major cities are expensive lime every where else. However, the small mid size cities are affordable. Boise, etc. They mad their part time breeding of hamsters can't afford them a condo in San Diego.

Checks out. And these fools believe you can sustain yourself on a “semi-pro” kayakers salary in the land of Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, hahahahaha, now isn’t that cute.

I wonder if hes legit naive enough to think this isnt happening.

This is also the birth of the modern day left. A large populous of people that think because they choose to live pay check to paycheck, take public transportation everywhere, and cant even live without having roommates, that everyone who chooses not to live like that should have to be in the same conditions.

Haha. Absolutely

Luckily the race is over by early afternoon. Just in time to get back to an Asheville brewery to start pre gaming.

That's the thing that gets me. They are blaming real estate prices and not their decisions for living this way. Literally no idea that if they just got a real job instead of semi-pro kayaking and running a bullshite business that does nothing, they could own some property without roommates.

Btw...I don't know if it's been discussed because I left this thread for a minute, but has anyone clicked the link to her "business"? The first words on the website are "be badass" Best I can tell they professionally do social media. Amazing they aren't racking in the money!!

It's an interesting conundrum. People move to certain cities because of nightlife, nature, and weather. The job market gets incredibly competitive with the saturation, and you end up limiting your privacy, or your ability to enjoy nightlife, nature and weather.

And Boise is becoming pricey too. Meridian and Nampa are reaping the benefits of that.

A friend of mine's nephew got an internship his junior year in college at a company in Silicon Valley.

He is from Louisiana, went to school in state. When he graduated he was offered a job by same company. He started out making just over $100k.

He lives in SF, he does have a roommate, but my point is, while real estate is more expensive, people make more. There was no where else he could have gone and started out making $100k.

Wife-banging is included in the rent.

And these same fricks are moving to TX and driving up the housing prices here. Which in return drive up the fricking property taxes.

Let me know when Odessa's housing prices go through the roof will ya?

He is likely living a life that is similar to making $40k in NOLA, or $70k in a nice city like San Diego. Bay area is crazy expensive.
