Going to be spraying with some weed free zone tonight I think. Is it to late to throw a bag of halts down for the crabgrass? I haven’t seen any yet.

Recommendation for pre emergent for St. Aug? I'm in Houston, if that matters.

TIA

Any of you fine gentlemen know what I’m dealing with here? It’s spread like wildfire in my back and side yard.

Unfortunately fire is not an option in this situation.

I am trying to level my lawn and have a couple of questions for guidance.

I read on a thread here that river silt will have a bunch of weeds and grass in it.

I have also read that I should use masonry sand with a mix of topsoil. The problem I’ve had with topsoil is that it has all the woody bark like material in it that I don’t necessarily want in my yard either.

What should I do and which is the best of two bad options?

I put down some prodiamine in Oct and it held up well. Only now starting to get some weeds coming up. Will kill these and put down another application of prodiamine this weekend.

This will be my first spring in my new house. Centipede sod was laid late last fall. I’m hesitant to do a whole lot. Anything I should or shouldn’t do because of it being a newer lawn?

This weather is pissing me off. I already put down pre-e in granular form as soon as soil temps in 55° for the 5 day average. But now I'm trying to spray the left over winter weeds and I cant because everytime it gets warm enough it's either raining within 24 hrs or its windy as frick.

My wife and I are going to Home Depot this weekend to get items for elevated garden beds.

Will do a lot of herbs, peppers, and tomatoes.

Got some serious weeds with little purple flowers in a bermuda lawn up here in N. Alabama. Looking for a spray that I can put down while the Bermuda is still dormant. Most of the stuff I've been seeing won't activate until at least 70 degrees...I'm worried the Bermuda won't be dormant then.

Thanks.

Time for me to order a pallet of zoysia sod. For those with experience, do I need to call 411 before using a sod-cutter? There is a transformer on the side of the yard where I'll be cutting, but a sod cutter doesn't go that deep, right?

Gonna spray as soon as I find a 48 hour window with no rain. Maybe sometime in the next month

So what’s the concensus on:

1) When to weed and feed the yard and

2) what to use to fertilize the lawn and prevent brown spots, but also eliminating clovers?

What is this and how do I kill it? It pops up every year and never dies off until winter

Does anyone else who has St. Augustine drop the deck on the mower an inch or so for the first cut of the year to try and stimulate growth?

I had great success killing all the weeds in my centipede grass, but now there are massive patches of dirt and mud everywhere. I want to seed the yard with something that will really be thick

Any suggestions?

Moved into a new house and i'm cutting it for the first time today. My new yard is half the size.

My 2018 Grasshopper will probably be up for sale. Ugh.

I made a standalone post about this, bu does anyone know if this is Johnsongrass or another type of weed or grass? Most of the yard is St Aug normally. The shite is everywhere and is growing really fast. I've been at this house for 3 years and I don't think I've seen this pop up - any ideas?
