I’m not saying it was a great height. He didn’t make state. I am saying that it’s a better height clearance than some guys in the NFL who did high school track and field who came from small and/or poor public schools and got little training.

High jump is also super technical. Good form is insanely important.

I've seen good athletes go out on the track without great track coaching and be told to sprint 400 yards run faster than 58 seconds.

Its a misprint, that's my story and I'm sticking to it

Happy to see another kid from my hometown come to LSU but he's definitely going to be a project. He needs about 40lbs on that frame.

Last time I checked no one runs 400M in one play.

I know.

Obviously he'd have a very good 10 yard split which is most important (outside of the shuttle time).

Very happy to have this kid. Seems like an awesome athlete.

Looks like a wide receiver. WR playing DE. That should workout.

For a DE prospect in High School, yes, generally. Mingo was a freak and even faster than that but there are few Mingos in this world.

And for the people suggesting the long jump number was for the standing long jump, the world record is 12' 3". The only cool number would be for pole vault.

As for the 400, it would be a decent time with hurdles.

He is raw but has all the athletic tools to become something special early. The people talking about needing a year to bulk up are crazy. This guy can be an instant impact with his athleticism.

I don't know, but there won't be another thread today that has as many former middle and high school athletes show up to tell us how much faster / better they were than a guy that just signed a football scholarship to LSU.

Maybe a Foster Moreau type guy.....last in only because we missed on some targets. Ends up being a leader and probably in the NFL soon.

12'9 long jump is very short I hope that supposed to be broad jump. 24ft is a nice long jump.

Per Shea

3-star edge rusher Desmond Little becomes the late addition for #LSU.

Others who landed the final spot in the class when they had an extra scholarship?

2017: Justin Jefferson
2016: Lloyd Cushenberry
2015: Foster Moreau
2014: Darrel Williams
2013: Deion Jones
2012: Duke Riley

I think Fonua can get to 280 and I think that is enough for DE. I don’t think you need to be 300 to be effective

When Hootie, I mean Ish, never really pans out and this guy blows up as a redshirt sophomore, this will have a 5-for-5 feel to it.

just because your 100 is decent doesn't mean you can run the 400. thats 2 totally different races. The 400 is no joke.
