Weirdest thing I heard today -and that's saying a lot - is the team would be open to Boogie returning.

Dell would be gone in this scenario and AD would have been traded.

The belief is that the market won't be huge for him and he could provide the star power necessary to sell tickets.

Anyway, not a plan, just something that has been discussed..some people I'm the organization loved Boogie

I’ve wondered about this same thing. It would be a perfect redemption type thing if he could do what AD couldn’t do. He would be close to his family in Mobile.

That said, I don’t trust him at all and he hasn’t ever led a team to the playoffs.

I already donated my Boogie jersey to Goodwill. It's too late.

In all seriousness, are we talking a one year deal? Something longer? I guess it all depends on how his stint with GS goes and how his achilles holds up.

It shouldn't be weird. If you act like a professional and take hurt feelings out, it makes a ton of sense from both a basketball and business standpoint.

He is one of the top players in the league at his position and will be a free agent when we have cap space.
It's a position we will likely not fill in the Davis trade or draft.
His last month in Finch's offense was historically dominant.
And most of all, it could completely change the dynamic for a Tatum, Kuzma, or Porzingas knowing that the team is at least trying to win in the near term.

I have a hard time believing that Boogie would want to come back to a Pels team that is likely going to be a trash heap for the next few seasons.

And I say this because I have an equally hard time believing that Dell will be gone before botching this trade/rebuild centered around AD leaving.

Crewz, didn’t you at one time say that much the coaching staff would be happy to let him leave? Of course, much of the staff may be gone soon, I would think.

Just thought I'd drop this in here instead of starting a new thread.

Buddy Heild season stats:

20.9 4.9 and 2.3 in 31 minutes through 50 games played.

.476 FG% (16 attempts per)
.457 3PT% (7.4 attempts per)
.865 FT%

Hindsight is 20/20 but the organization would be in a far better place had we not shipped him off for parts of 2 seasons with Boogie.

Boogie left and we got nothing, now AD wants out.

That move in hindsight is turning out to look not so good.

I'll be the first to admit that from a fan's perspective, it did look appealing at the time.
