Not to intrude on you two's little slapfest but if what you posted above is true I would love for you to provide a link or some stats.
Every single piece of info I have seen over the last decade shows both violent crime and crime against police has decreased greatly over the lat 40 years, where are you getting your info?

So update here:
4 shot, 1 knee injury
2 shot in neck, 2 shot in undisclosed areas
The 2 shot in the neck are critical.
One of those shot is a 54 year old who has served on Houston PD since 1984 and has already survived a previous shooting.
Officer with the knee injury has been discharged.
All are narcotic officers and the suspects were selling black tar heroin.
