Toilet paper: do you wipe once & throw away or fold over and wipe again?

The wife and I get into this argument all the time. She folds the toilet paper over after the first wipe then wipes again before throwing it away. I wipe once and toss in the toilet and grab some more. Maybe my #2's are messier than most but I'm just not going to risk getting crap all over my hand just for the sake of getting more out of the wad of TP before tossing it. She says I'm crazy and wasteful. I say she's crazy.
Help settle this argument for me.

Are you a folder or a wadder? If you fold the TP properly, then you can safely fold over and wipe again, save for the messiest shits.
