You could have had a 100% caddo Indian relative from say 1824 but due to the fact that the chromosomes are randomly sorted into the ne t generation, that 100% could disappear from your lineage after just two generations. Or 3 or 4.

My wife and kids are about to go through this. She’s from north alabama and had been told for a looong time she is part Cherokee.
We sent ours off a couple of weeks ago.
I already know because my parents did it. I’m like 87% English/Scottish. I’m so freaking white.

What if you’re whole family and bloodline are from west Texas, which would be Mexican and historically Aztec (potentially with a sprinkle of Native American mixed in), but the border changed? That can’t be considered an immigrant.

Mom's grandmother was a quarter Choctaw. Was born out from Possum Neck, MS. My first cousins signed up for, and started receiving, benefits when they lived in OK. They live in Texas now and still shop at something like a PX on a reservation. My cousins wife has offered to help me apply for being able to receive some benefits, like the place they shop.

My dad has always said his side of the family has Kickapoo in them. I believed they even lived on the reservation as kids for awhile.
My mom side has always claimed the Houma tribe which I believe because I have my tribe card and tribal number. I’m almost always confused for Mexican lol

I'm not sure my percentage but my great grandmother on my father's side was full blooded Native American. She was from Anacoco and was very tiny, under 5 feet tall.
