Duck season has been horrible, but deer season has been pretty good. All 8 points and above:

Wasn’t it 98 or 99 the mojo came out? Those were some good hunts for a year or two.

I believe in 98 we had gotten a Robo Duck when they first came out. It was unbelievable what they would do back then.

Got mine in 99 and didn’t use until November of 2000. Blind was approx 1 mile from 82 as crow flies and they would lock up that far.

The 2nd split of 97 we fashioned one out of a Flambeau Magnum mallard drake, a remote control car motor, an Easton arrow shaft and wings cut out of a 5 gallon bucket. It was on like a chicken bone.

They would paralyze ducks for sure, but there were a metric shite ton of ducks around then, too.

If i remember correctly, we were in an extended drought statewide. Thanksgiving of 01 or 02 the proverbial bottom fell out and we got wet quick. We had mallards dry landing on the turn row and walking into the field there were so many.

last year and 2015 were pretty strong for us....

15 an 17 along with 99-01.. likely best years for me... even better on average than the 10 duck days

In 1999 We called Mallards and Pintails into a dry stubble bean field outside of Klondike Louisiana for 3 weeks. Told no one, and had limits hidden in every rabbit hole on that levee and behind every tree or fence post we could hang a hook and a strap on. To this day I have hunted no where in America and topped those 3 weeks.
